We are proud to announce that Warner Bros. Motion Picture Imaging (MPI) completed the digital coloring of award winning female action filmmaker J.A. Steel’s horror shocker “Blood Fare” using their newly developed Scratch workflow.

“Blood Fare” is a Civil War ghost story with a modern twist, by J.A. Steel and Co-Producer Christian K. Koch.  It is the tale of Corporal Henry Trout (S. Edward Meek - “Wild Stallion”), who in 1861 fought valiantly in a forgotten skirmish after the first battle of Bull Run.  150 years later, he will come face to face with his descendants as the battle for blood continues on a haunted battlefield.  Tyler (Brandi Lynn Anderson from the upcoming Syfy original series “ZEROS”) and her brother Chad (Adrian West), Henry's fifth generation grandchildren, will challenge the very legend of Charon the Ferryman, as the lines between the living and the dead become blurred.

Gil Gerard, internationally recognized for his lead role as Captain William ‘Buck’ Rogers in the science fiction movie and television series “Buck Rogers in the 25th Century”, plays the character of Professor Meade, mentor to the protagonist Tyler, in “Blood Fare”.  Gerard was recently seen in the Syfy original movie “Ghost Town”.  International action star, Kim Sonderholm, most recently seen in the newly released “Little Big Boy,” appears alongside Gerard as Professor Malick.

In addition to Gerard and Sonderholm, several other amazingly talented actresses and actors have joined the “Blood Fare” cast, including Michelle Wolff (“NCIS”, “Chicago Hope”, “ER”, and “Providence”), Savannah Ostler (“Vengeance”), Bridget McManus (“Wanted”), Scott Beringer (“Ocean’s Eleven” and “21”), Brenden Whitney, Alison Trouse, Thomas J. Post, Antonio Lexerot and April Knight.  Marcus Intheam, Salt Lake City star radio DJ of “Marcus in the Morning” on Z-ROCK 94.9 and “The Real L Word Live Lounge” host Natalie M. Garcia add live broadcast talent.

Chris Hanson, one of the most recognized special makeup effects artists of Hollywood, joined the crew of “Blood Fare” as Special Makeup Effects Supervisor.  He demonstrated his unique creativity in “Hellboy”, “Underworld”, “Men in Black”, “Men in Black 2”, “The Green Mile”, “The X-Files”, “The Faculty”, “Spawn” and many other productions.

Over the last couple weeks I have been searching for upcoming Directors, Authors and Musicians. I have found some amazing people that are currently working on projects or have finished projects that are fucking amazing!!! I am trying to gain support for them in turn they are helping gain me more of a following. There are a few people that I have been in talks with about their upcoming films that I will be featuring on the blog soon.  Warrior Entertainment is the most recent company I have been talking to about their newest film Blood Fare. Jack struggled with the hand cuffs as the water crashed against his chest. It seemed the more he wretched his arms the tighter the cuffs became. He knew the tide would be over his head in a matter of minutes and he had to do something quick. Jack could hear Roman and his cronies talking and laughing at the top of the pier. Talking about the last show…

Roman Gianno. Roman was a drug dealer and loan shark that Jack had previously been employed with, but the business had turned sour. Ro-man needed Jack to help with his illegal activity, to help with unforeseen problems. Jack had been good at his job at first, but then had become more of a nuisance than helpful, according to Roman. Now, 3 years later, Jack was tied to a pillar on the Jackson City docks about five minutes from high tide. So much for a great relationship…

Jack heard Roman laughing about a joke one of the other guys had made. Jack knew Roman had killed before and, unfortunately, under what circum-stances. Jack was also pretty sure how the others had met their untimely demises; the same way he was about to. Jack figured after all he had seen in this life, all the things he wished he could forget, he should be able to change his situation. He had to do something…

Roman called down something to Jack. Jack didn’t respond. Instead he began mumbling to himself. Roman heard the mumbling and began to chuckle. Jack continued to mumble as Roman walked back to the group of men. Jack knew he only had a few precious minutes left in his life; time to shine.

Jack began to murmur some of the names of Roman’s other victims: Larry Conway, Roman’s chief rival in the drug business. Kelly Hudson, Roman’s cheating ex-wife. Justin Mills, Roman’s top hit man who botched the contract on Larry. Big Deevon, Roman’s contact with the inner city kids who tried to take a cut off the top. And Randy Fryman, Roman’s second in command. Randy had attempted to take over Roman’s business when Roman went up state for a 5 year stretch on drug charges. Jack knew more names, but these people were special; these people wanted revenge…

The water was at his chin. Jack knew he had to hurry. Only a few more words. Suddenly, he felt the handcuffs began to loosen as if someone had unlocked them. Jack struggled against them. He could feel his hands beginning to slide out. The water was almost at his nose now, not much time left. Jack pulled his hand with all his might. The water was inching closer to his nose. Jack took a deep breath and slipped under the water. As he did, he heard the shouts of joy from the pier above. Roman and the boys were laughing and cheering at the site. The last struggle of a dying man.

Under the water, he pulled one final time at the cuffs. His hands still refused to slide out. Jack could feel the looming presence of death as his chest began to tighten. His last breath was running out; time was up. Jack continued to struggle even though it was useless. Just as he was about to pass out, Jack saw the glowing orbs racing to-wards him from the depths of the ocean. They were glowing bright red and moving fast. Just as he was fading out of consciousness, the orbs passed his body and he felt the cuffs open. Jack sank into unconsciousness and sunk to the sandy floor below.

Roman and his cronies watched as Jack sank and noticed the red glow coming from the water. Roman didn’t give it an-other thought and turned to leave. As he did, he noticed the wind began to change direction and it brought a strong odor of sulfur. He also noticed his men had stopped laughing. Roman turned to look behind him and saw only the deserted pier. What happened to the boys? Did they pass him on the way to the car? They couldn’t have. Suddenly, Roman heard a voice. He couldn’t quite make out what it was saying, but it scared him. Where was it coming from? Roman reached for his gun under his jacket and called out for his guys. No one answered, but he still heard the voice.

Roman realized it was time for him to leave and he began running towards his car. As he ran, he could feel a chill in the air and the smell of sulfur seemed to be get-ting stronger. As he approached the car and grabbed the handle to open the door, he heard the door lock. He stared at the door lock through the window. When he reached for the keys in his pocket, he looked back up at the window and saw his reflection… and the reflection of someone else. He jumped back and brought the barrel of the gun up. But no one was around. He turned back to the car and plunged his key into the lock and turned it; the key broke off flush with the lock. Roman stared in disbelief at the lock and he began to panic. All the time, he could still hear the voice. It sounded as if it was coming from all around him and the smell of sulfur was almost sickening.

Suddenly, he saw someone standing at the end of the pier. As he began to walk towards him, the figured turned around and Roman shrieked in horror. It wasn’t one of the boys, it was Larry. It couldn’t be, Larry was dead. Roman had saw his body drift out of sight on this same pier 6 months earlier. Larry began to walk towards Roman. Roman lifted the gun and fired a shot. The bullet passed through Larry’s cheek and kept going. Roman stared in disbelief as Larry kept walking towards him. Roman turned to run and stopped short when he saw Kelly, Justin, Big D, and Randy standing directly in his path…

As the souls began to gather around him, Roman saw a flicker of light on the shore. He turned to look and saw Jack lighting a cigarette. Finally, Roman realized his mistake in hiring Jack. His fellow partners in crime told him not to hire an occultist to deal with his problems. But Jack was good at his job. Jack could kill someone 100 miles away by just uttering a few simple words. Jack could conjure tormented souls and raise demonic Hellions and command them to do anything Roman deemed necessary. Roman should have thought of all that before he decided Jack held too much control over him.

Roman stared at Jack and raised a gun to his temple. Roman was going out on his own terms, not Jacks’. Just as he pulled the trigger, the gun turned to water in Roman’s hand and fell through the boards of the pier. Roman stared at the boards beneath his feet in disbelief. Roman attempted to run, but Larry grabbed him by the throat. Roman realized the sulfur smell was from the group of souls that surrounded him as they began to systematically tear him apart. Just before his eyes were torn out, Roman saw Jack smiling behind the faint glow of his cigarette as he turned to leave.

As I stood up, I began looking around. Wondering who I was, and where I was. The sky was pitch-black, and what appeared to be stars, were piercing through it. They are crimson red. They are the only source of light. It seems like I am in a field. Standing there... A little speck of dust underneath a vast, open sky. I see no horizon line.. This field looks as if it goes on forever. All of a sudden, coming from a place that I cannot see, lightning flashes, and all around me are tall, dark silhouettes. I don't know what to do. Out of instinct-I began to run. I took a deep breath in, and the air burnt my nose, almost as if a cloud of sulpheric acid enveloped me, along with the dark figures.

 It does not matter. I have to get away. I don't know where I'm going, and I can't see but 1 foot in front of me. But, this does not matter either. I keep running. I feel hands, grabbing, and pulling at my arms. That does not stop me. I have to keep going. As I move further, I gain confidence of getting away. I can no longer feel the hands. Then, all of a sudden, the breath is knocked completely out of me, and it feels as if I'd been hit in the chest with a sledge-hammer. I am lying down again, and I hear something that I've never heard before. It almost sounds like the high-pitched buzzing of a machine, with under-tones of a very low-pitched humming. It does not sound like any animal I know to exist.

It does not sound human. Should I open my eyes? CAN I open my eyes? My eye-lids slowly start to peel apart, and I witness something I can't begin to explain. Again, I am surrounded, but this time I can see them. They have no eyes, and their skin is pale. As my eyes open completely, they turn their attention to me. One of them starts toward me, reaching its hand out, and touches my face. Its hand is cold, and my skin crawls and rises at its skin meeting mine. I try to scream, but not a sound escapes my mouth. I can't move a muscle in my entire body. I try so desperately to close my eyes, but I can't do that either. A million thoughts race through my mind at once.

Where am I?...

What are they going to do to me?...

Why can't I move?...

How in the hell am I going to escape?...

My heart drops into my stomach, as I flee from my scattered thoughts, and realize what's going on. One of them has a needle. I can feel the sweat forming in my glands, and dropping down my face. I try to escape, like a man with claustrophobia, convicted of murder. I focus all of my strength into my arms; consciously sending commands to every muscle fiber in my biceps. I can't. With what seems like an exhausted attempt over the span of a life-time, I cannot move. "What are you doing?!" I try to scream. I make not one sound. The only thing I can hear is humming... They're all doing it. A chorus of voices, all simultaneously directed towards me. After what feels like hours, they get louder. Much louder. Then, they part. Just as if something split them right up the middle. As if Moses were parting the Red Sea, yet again. One of them walks between the rest, and it is outrageously taller than them. As it passed, they bowed to it, as if it were their queen.

Her movement is like nothing I've ever seen. She is gracefully dancing. A ballet of sorts. As she edges closer, I can see light radiating from the top of her head. I am overwhelmed with tingling sensations throughout my entire body. A sense of new-found relief overcomes me, and I am completely relaxed. I am in perfect harmony with my surroundings, and those that occupy them. The queen has finally reached me, and she places her warm, comforting hands underneath me. She lifts me, and I feel weightless. The humming becomes louder, as if her lifting me cued a crescendo. She carries me out of the linoleum-looking room, and just as the humming started, it stopped. In an instant we appear in another room, but this one is much smaller. It is only her and I.

The queen lays me on a gurney, and gets on top of me. She begins to kiss me, moves down my chest, and grabs my penis. Then, she gets up and moves seductively to a table in front of me, and grabs a metal rod. This brings on a new fear. I can feel my blood inching through every vein, and my heart is pounding out of my chest. It is the only thing I can hear. She slowly turns around, and comes toward me, with her arm out-stretched. She plunges forward with such force, it penetrates my asshole. Oh dear God. I want to resist, but I can't. I can feel myself ripping, as she proceeds to shove further in. I begin to feel it within my intestines, completely tearing everything it comes into contact with apart. I can feel it in my stomach, as I hear the gruesome sounds of ripping hide.  It's piercing through my fucking stomach! RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIP! My gag reflexes try to function, but can't. As the rod pierces through, chunks of fat and muscle tissue stick to it. Or maybe those are chunks of intestine.

 I can feel my whole body trying to convulse from the excruciating pain in my abdomen, but no movement is made. Am I dead? If I were, I wouldn't be able to feel this! The being finally stops shoving the rod, and to my relief, comes over to my head. As she leans over me, she finally says something I can understand. "I'm going to fuck you." She gets on top of me, grabs my penis with both of her hands, and begins to jack me off! Once all of the blood rushes to my penis, she puts it somewhere that I cannot see, and begins to fuck me! As she moves violently up, and down, she grabs the rod petruding out of my stomach, and pushes down on it. Pain completely consumes me, as I feel my balls cringe, and semen edging through my urethra. How in the fuck am I getting off?! The queen climbs off of me, leaving my erect penis hanging, making it hard for me to see around it. She goes to a table I didn't notice before on my left. I watch in my peripheral vision as she picks up another instrument.

 It resembles a pair of hedge-clippers, the only difference being, that the blades are around 5ft long. I can see the queen's reflection in the chrome blade. She's fucking smiling! She turns around, and heads toward me. Grabbing my erect penis in one hand, while in the other she has the hedge-clippers, raised above her head. All at once, she slams them down, straight into my dickhole. I try to scream, but my effort fails. The hedge clippers close and my penis are sliced completely open, exposing my veins and my muscle tissue. "WHAT IN THE FUCK DO YOU WANT FROM ME?!"  She looks up at me and smiles as she laughs and says, "You are the chosen one."

Revenant- Deaths Doorstep by Rhodri Jones

I am lookiing to fund a re-shoot of my latest no-budget independent horror shortRevenant. 

“With a bunch of homemade weapons a radio comrade and a bitter hatred for the un-dead, Van is ready to destroy the vampires he has tracked down and put an end to their path of pain, death and destruction”

The original film was created in a 48 hour time frame for a short film competition, this meant a lot of scenes were shot in minimal takes, corners were cut on makeup and prosthetics, and the final edit was rushed.

The film didn’t have enough time to reach its full potential which is unfortunate because I believe the idea does have a lot of potential visually and in the narrative .  Rewriting the script has proved that. On completion of the original film I immediately began a rewrite adding greater elements of danger, biggerfight sequences, improved dialogue, story enhancment and a lot more gore.

The film is based on how my imagination would run riot as a young boy after watching films such as Dusk till Dawn, Evil Dead andLost Boys.  My mind would be filled with these ideas of how I would face off against evil beings, how I would creatively destroy them and be the hero; all the while using crazy homemade weapons that managed to save me just in the nick of time.

I plan to use the funding to hire out and build equipment needed to give the film the cinematic look it deserves: Camera, dolly, lights, sound equipment, blood pumps, props, prosthetics, professional makeup. I also need to feed my cast… and blood is not cheap on the black market!!

On my digital effects team is Dean James. On Revenant he added the day to night grading effect, for  the reshoot he will be working alongside me to create and control the digital effects, which there will be plenty of. Deans Show reel- http://vimeo.com/13925160

Creating my original Soundtrack is Hip Hop beat maker Daniel Thompson aka Face Raper he has worked with me on numerous projects in the past and can always create an immediate sense of dread, fear, panic, doom with a single track.

I am doing what I can to get the ball rolling on the reshoot; Rehearsals, choreographing the fight sequences, running through digital effects and sketching out storyboards. Anything productive so that when I get the green light we can jump right in and get to work as soon as possible.  I hope to sell the film once its completed and has been screened at a few festivals.

I want to show the classic evil vampire isn’t dead and buried; I want to rekindle that feeling of horror for those who grew up with the type of vampire who wants to rip off your face … rather than hold your hand!

My quest to help others!

Since joining twitter I have found a lot of very good horror authors, and movie makers. These people have amazing talent and I totally understand where they are in their lives because I also am trying to get better and gain a following here with this blog. I will continue to seek out new authors and directors to feature on the blog as well as promote the friends I have been making whenever they need me to. Faces In the Crowd- Movie Review

Faces in the crowd was a very original idea that ended up being a good movie. Sorta like "The Eye" with Jessica Alba minus the "Paranormal" feel. Milla Jovovich does a great job in this movie. The fact that her brain lost it's ability to make out faces is an amazing idea and it worked out well. I give this movie 8 out of 10.

After watching PA3, I would have to say that this movie was better than the previous two. My main reason for this one being the best is the plot and the ending. The first one ended almost predictable after realizing that the woman was possessed. The second one was lame, this one has the best twist of the three movies. I recommend this movie to anyone who watched the previous two. 7 out of 10!
