Movie Review: "To Jennifer" by James Cullen Bressack

My Thoughts:

So this guy thinks his girlfriend is cheating on her and he has to rely on a couple of so-called friends to help him get home to catch her in the act. What we see in this film is a guy slowly going fucking insane which is pretty cool because we all know that if our significant other was cheating on us while we were out of town we would be cool about it right?  They decide to film a “Movie” of him getting home to confront his girlfriend over the whole cheating thing.

The film is shot with an iPhone 5 the whole time and it isn’t done bad at all; granted it’s found footage but it is also nothing like Bressack’s Film “Hate Crime”!  “To Jennifer” was kinda slow going at first but when things  picked up and you realize what is going on you can’t wait to see what is going to happen next.. It was a nice surprise to see Maria Olsen in the movie.  I really like Bressack’s approach to his films and I continue to support him!

Movie: "Psycho Killer" by Randy R. Fabert

I am sure this film has been talked about a lot since the trailer has been posted however I have just met Randy R. Fabert and learned about it. The trailer for “Psycho Killer” was fucking amazing! This film brings about a Horror Persona called “The Juggernaut” which is abducting women and killing them! “Psycho Killer” is another film that I am highly anticipating and can’t wait to have the opportunity to review. Have you ever loved someone so much it hurts? In “Love Sick” that phrase will be taken literally! From what I have read Bill Oberst Jr. is going to star in the film and from what I have seen; that gives me added incentive to find out as much as I can about the film.

Here is the plot outline:

"Gwyneth and Amos have been together for 10 years and after much deliberation have decided to part ways. After separating and being with others they quickly realize how hard it is to disconnect from one another. The pain, lies, and betrayal all begin to manifest physically within the both of them as well as infect the others who have become involved with intimately. They love each other so much that it hurts... some more than others."

Reunion is an independent thriller/horror film spearheaded by a diverse team of professional industry veterans.

Los Angeles, California – June 14th 2013

It's a cold, stormy and thunderous night. Trapped in his own home, former rock stars Brad Norton and Grant Foley prepare for the return of their infamous band when a strange woman, Mia, shows up at their door looking for her son she calls "Alan." Unbeknownst to them, she is guided by a dark spirit and is convinced Brad kidnapped her long-lost son.

The filmmakers have assembled an experienced crew from Emmy-award winning TV shows, studios such as Lionsgate, and feature films such as "Pirates of the Caribbean," "Star Trek: Into Darkness," and "The Dark Knight." Starting with a rock solid screenplay written by Bert Havird and led by Producer Thelonius Alexander and Director Shawn Chou, the philosophy of the filmmakers was to look for undiscovered talent that wouldn’t break the bank. After laboring through months of casting, they recruited talented up-and-coming actors Sarah Schreiber, Cara Santana, Reign Morton, Arielle Brachfeld and Leif Gantvoort. The independent movie also features a young heartthrob Jack Turner in his debut as well as veteran actor-producer Maria Olsen, who plays Mia, who is best known for her role as Mrs Dodds/The Fury in Fox’s “Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief”.

“We rely on our team’s passion and dedication to bring our vision to life,” says Shawn. “The most important thing is to tell a story about a ghost who tries to reunite his lookalike twin with this mysterious murderer. It’s filled with twists and turns. Ultimately, we ask tough questions about why people repress their memories to cope with life.”

Jack adds, “It's an incredibly interesting relationship to investigate with all its myriad complexities, amnesia, abuse and sexual tensions, and Maria is wonderful to act with.”

Movie: "Headless" by Toby Lawrence @HEADLESSMOVIE

Headless is the story of college student Marie Cunningham, who is dedicating her thesis paper to an investigation of the legend of Hannah Singer, a young girl beheaded for witchcraft in 1846.
