Review: "The Invoking" aka "Sader Ridge" by Jeremy Berg
THE REVIEW
“The Invoking” otherwise known as “Sader Ridge” is about a woman named Sam (Trin Miller) goes to visit a house she inherited from her Grandma; along with three friends. A man that happens to be the property care-taker, Eric (D'Angelo Midili) informs her of her past and that she had lived in the house when she was a young child. Soon after she sees visions that to her seem real and causes her to begin questioning reality.
This film was really good as it shows many twists and turns among the people involved. Trust begins to breakdown between her friends and that happens to make it easy for them to become victims as the film unravels. The work of Jeremy Berg is awesome and the story was well thought out with a really good ending. The characters were all pretty good and the obvious tension between Mark (Brandon Anthony) and Eric made me think that Mark was a dick at first but soon realized that Mark was the smartest one of the group.
Overall I recommend this film to my followers and friends due to the fact it is a movie that makes you think and pay attention. True Indie film lovers will appreciate the film more than regular movie watchers that think horror is about blood and gore. This is a much deeper film! The only part I may have lost on is just what is Eric and how would he know that Sam would see what she was seeing?

Review: "Quite a Conundrum" by Thomas L. Phillips
I spoke with Thomas L. Phillips the genius behind the film “Quite a Conundrum” and I was given the opportunity to watch the film so I could review it. I have to say that I was not disappointed at all; in fact the film was well written with pretty damn good acting (Sasha Ramos, Erin Cline, Joe Coffey and Anthony Rutowicz) and a great story with a twist that I did not see coming! I preach that acting is not a strong area in Horror/Thriller films.. Again I was really happy to see that it was proven wrong!
I completely thought the film would be different in the ways of following the typical “Kill em’ all fashion” but it wasn’t. The angle that was used was something that has been used in previous films but done in such a way that kept me interested and wanting to see more! The character development was done flawlessly and the transition from character development to what seems to be a psychotic episode by an unlikely source kicked serious ass! I would rate “Quite a Conundrum” in my Top 5 films that I have had the opportunity to review; yes it is THAT good!
This film may not have a ton of death scenes; the writing and the fact it was somewhat comedic turned this film from a B to an A+! Watch it!

Make My Movie Entry: "Zombies Anonymous" by Liz Denekamp
Zombies Anonymous
Life after the zombie epidemic is hard, especially when trying to deal with the memories of what you've done. Kit, a former zombie is doing everything she can to sort her life out but this new taste for human flesh is disturbing.
A “LIZ DENEKAMP” FILM
WRITTEN BY LIZ DENEKAMP
It is now five years since the zombie epidemic and three years since someone created a cure but the cure is expensive. New Zealand, like many other countries could only afford so much. Most of the remaining zombies have been rounded up and placed in temporary holding cells.
Kit, a former zombie, is one of many containment officers keeping an eye on the undead. She is trying her hardest to move on with her new life and ignore the main side effect of the cure. You remember everything that happened and everything you did while you were a zombie.
Kit is trying her hardest to deal with her memories and save up enough money to find and hopefully cure her brother, but between the government raids, the unexplained disappearances of the prisoners and the compulsory post-zombie support groups nothing seems to be going her way. Added to this her newfound taste for human flesh and she's beginning to wonder how much the cure really worked...

"Carver" Directed by Emily DiPrimio
I had an opportunity to watch the "Carver" Kickstarter campaign video and I was impressed! A 13 year old making a Slasher flick! This project was funded successfully and made quite a bit more than the goal they had set. I am asking everyone to pay close attention and support this project as it is created! Please visit the FACEBOOK PAGE and Like it so you can be updated with what is happening with this film!
The Story of Carver
Carver is about a group of teenagers who are haunted by a despicable act they committed on Halloween when they were younger. Their actions caused the deaths of three innocent people. Now, on the anniversary of those deaths, an ominous calling card in the form of a carved pumpkin has been placed at each of their homes. Someone is out for revenge. The question is...who?
Carver takes elements from the great slasher films of the past and morphs them into one thrilling story. We know Freddy, Jason, and Michael are the killers in their respective films. While Scream, My Bloody Valentine, and The Prowler keep you guessing as to who the killer may be. In Carver, we introduce a menacing unstoppable killer, but no one will know who is under the mask until the climactic scene.

Review: "Intrusive Behavior" by Brian Troxell
“Intrusive Behavior” is a great film that surprised me for the most part in many ways; typically I expected much less from this film initially however after seeing how the story built up continuously from start to finish and tossing in one of the more unique torture scenes I have ever seen sold me completely. Not to spoil anything for anyone but this film begins with a very disturbed little girl that needed her ass whooped by her parents! She ends up being cast away to a hospital where the story gets pretty fucked up and explains the rest of the film perfectly! Fast forward several years and shit gets sick and twisted; again I really enjoyed this film to the point where I can’t wait to see what Brian Troxell comes up with next.

Review: "Natal" by Corey Norman
"Natal" is a short film by Corey Norman that follows four people that go on a trip that may be the last place they were ever seen since one of them was recently released from a psychiatric institution. You can see the madness continue to grow more and more intense as this awesome tale takes a seriously fucking demented twist and doesn't disappoint! Corey is an amazing filmmaker with his upcoming film "The Hanover House" soon to be released you should definitely check this out as a warm-up to a feature! I know I won't be! "Natal" is a great 30 minute short and I highly recommend it!! Great work coming out of the state of MAINE!
