This is so unpredictable if you have no idea what the film is about going into it. I didn't bother watching teaser trailers or reading anything on the film prior to viewing. I had a Horror Hangout with Patrick Rea and when he mentioned he Directed this film I immediately had to find a copy and watch it!

I don't have any doubt in my mind why this film made it on the Redbox Que; it is simply a great horror film! I love gore as much as the next horror fanatic however you have to give a little when it comes to effects. If it makes more sense to just cut away from significant gore rather than not be able to facilitate the effects in a way that there is realism.

I love the creatures in this film and I think the storyline was thought out and amazing! The story isn’t one of those that couldn’t be explained; however I would love to know more backstory on the creatures and all that but hell that could make for another film! I do see how it can continue; Daddy is home!

I loved the cast in this film! Meg Saricks and Erin McGrane did an amazing job as well as the rest of the cast! I will be doing a review of Patrick Rea's short film "Counterparts" here in the near future! You won't be disappointed about that film either!!!

Movie Review: "Dropping Evil" (2012) by Adam Protextor

So this film follows a couple which invites their two friends on a camping trip; One of the friends; Nancy (Yes, a guy named Nancy) which is a buzzkill bible toting nerd. In the beginning he continues to annoy the rest of the group until they decide to slip him some LSD to help loosen him up. BAD IDEA!! What we do find out is that Nancy is being monitored by a corporation interested in watching him kill for whatever reasons that they have… Actually I think they were watching all of the members of the group...Not just Nancy...

The film was not so much horror as it is sci-fi; yet it was a little hard to follow it was still interesting enough to keep me watching it. I would have loved to see more Tiffany Shepis and less of the tall long blonde haired guy who did very little for the film! The concept is great; I just think they couldn’t budget what it would require to make the actual concept great! I did love the story for the most part; I just think most people will have an issue following it. Just think about the world people seem to think doesn’t exist; that is what this film shows you!

“Dropping Evil” delivers a ton of twists that will make you want more! I want more! I think they could make at least 2 more films to actually finish the story out and it would be great! A prequel and a sequel would HAVE to happen!! I love indie films and I appreciate the work put into them so I have to say it this way; watch this film! Support indie film! And don’t be too harsh on your opinions and actually look at what the film makers are trying to do! Good job Adam Protextor!

Movie: "The Drifter" by Craig Calamis OFFICIAL TEASER TRAILER!

THE DRIFTER is a psychological thriller that tells the story of a uniquely troubled man, Chris Thatcher, who finds himself on a downward spiral induced by the painful memories of his dark and distant past. A lifetime of loneliness and guilt has taken its toll on this tortured soul and the signs are becoming more apparent.

In his search for purpose, The Drifter spends his days and long nights on the open road, desperate to erase the haunting images that lurk deep within his mind. One evening, Chris finds refuge from the highway's cadence in a small southern town and decides to make himself at home. As memories of their past begin to surface, the tension in the room is palpable and their games of false-friendship and betrayal officially begin.

The Drifter has many skeletons to hide, and his old rival is determined to uncover them. As The Drifter’s memories grow darker, he begins to blur the fine line between man and monster, slipping further away from his grasp on reality.

**I have been waiting a very long time for this film to get released and it is a going to be coming VERY SOON! They have recently submitted the film to the Sundance Film Festival and will be trying to gather the final funding this spring!!**
