I began watching this film with the thought process it would be like Piranha or something like that; in fact this film was almost a cross between Piranha and Jeepers Creepers with the whole offering up a sacrifice thing! I was slightly disappointed with the lack of seeing the actually monster that was supposed to be all scary however I was impressed with the story; given the paranoia of the town and how nobody speaks of what is going on there.

There was somewhat of a backstory of the creature as it relates to the past sixty years.. The film started off with showing how Kier Than’s father died and how he sacrificed himself to the monster. That itself was good for character development; as well as the rest of the character development was really good.

Based on the fact I understand what was going on with this film and the overall story was pretty cool I would have to give this film a good recommendation! I am happy to have watched this film and in the future Brandon Slagle will always get my support!!

"House of Manson" Teaser Trailer!!

This film continues to excite many of the people that read my blog, as well as myself! I can't wait until I have an opportunity to review this film!! Brandon Slagle does amazing work as I will write about with my upcoming review of "DEAD SEA"!!

I have watched many films/documentaries based on Charles Manson in the past but this one seems to be focused on the family as well! The Trailer looks fucking awesome! As close to the era as it can get!

“THE ATTACK OF THE MORNINGSIDE MONSTER”

Plot:

When a body is found in the woods outside the quiet town of Morningside, NJ, Sheriff Tom Haulk and Deputy Klara Austin embark on a desperate race against time to catch the killer, pitting them against friends, enemies and even each other.

REVIEW:

I fucking loved it!! That is what I have to say about this film! Writer Jayson Palmer along with Director Chris Etheridge really brought a film that introduced a new kind of terror to indie horror films! This film has it all; a great storyline that may kinda be used often but with a spin and ending that kept me glued! Tiffany Shepis, Robert Pralgo and Nicholas Brendon were the perfect fit for this film! A Thriller/Horror film that could easily become a true slasher flick! The look of the killer was unique compared to most that I have seen while reviewing Indie films.

I recommend “The Attack of the Morningside Monster” to anyone! If you’re truly looking for a film that builds the characters up and does not let up on the amount of time you see the killer on the attack, then you HAVE TO WATCH THIS FILM!! Another great film and I will continue to support this film in the future with my friends and fans!

TOM H REVIEWS DEAN WHITNEY’S “GHOSTLINE”!

I have watched and reviewed a lot of films in the past couple of years and one of the things I have begun searching for are films that actually stand out with a unique storyline. Sure! I love gore and really cool effects that come with it.  What “Ghostline” offered was similar to a film I have watched called “The Caller” however overall the feel of the film was one that I was excited about. The ending was a nice surprise and was one that I didn’t expect. Dean Whitney did a great job writing and directing this film! I would lose my fucking mind if some person were to call me believing I was someone else and wouldn’t leave me alone! Especially if I found out that the person was dead!

Rachel Alig and Zack Gold did a fucking amazing job with their roles and I was impressed by the overall performance of the entire cast! It is not often that I review a film that I don’t pause in the process of viewing and that I get super excited about telling others about.  The quality of “Ghostline” will bring the film some great success! This is truly one of the best Supernatural/Horror films in my recent memory! I would even put it over films such as “The Conjuring”!!

“Ghostline” is a film that I will recommend to my friends and all the supporters of Tom H’s Blog of Horror!

“10 SECONDS TO RUN” KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGN

Imagine if you were held hostage by a group of redneck psychopaths and thrust into a game where you had just “10 Seconds To Run” in order to stay alive! Jake Jalbert, Director of this film has a unique vision from what I had the opportunity to see from the teaser trailer (I’ll place the trailer below). 

From what I have had a chance to read, this film will be one about survival in a realistic situation! I love films that have a storyline that can actually happen, the feel of those type of films create higher level tension with the audience! I am excited about the FX team as they are fucking awesome! I think the teaser for this film is amazing and I think that this campaign is worth supporting!
